Atlantic Car Rental is a brand of Atlantic Tours Transfers and Rentals, the registered trade name of OCC Holding Real Estate Consultancy Private Charter Exclusive Tours Transfers Rentals V.B.A., a limited liability company registered in Aruba with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Aruba under number H51819.5, with its registered address at Italiestraat 38, Eagle/Paardenbaai, Oranjestad West, Aruba.
Referred to in these Terms as “Atlantic,” “we,” or “us.”

By submitting a reservation request, collecting a vehicle, or signing a rental agreement, you (“the Renter”) accept these Terms.
These Terms form part of the rental agreement signed at delivery or collection. Where the two differ, the signed rental agreement prevails.
Where more than one person signs the rental agreement, each is jointly and individually responsible for everything owed under it.
2.1 A reservation request — by website, WhatsApp, email, or telephone — is not a confirmed booking. No payment is required to make one.
2.2 A reservation is confirmed only when Atlantic confirms availability directly with you, normally by WhatsApp.
2.3 Vehicle images on our website are representative of each class. The specific make and model is assigned at delivery based on availability. We do not guarantee a particular make, model, colour, or year.
2.4 A minimum rental period of three (3) days applies.
2.5 We contact you one day before arrival to coordinate delivery.
2.6 Atlantic may decline any reservation request at its discretion.
3.1 Minimum age: 23 years.
3.2 Every driver must present at the time of rental:
3.3 Only drivers named on the signed rental agreement may drive the vehicle. Additional drivers must be present at the time of rental, meet the same requirements, and be named on the agreement. Additional driver: $5 per day.
3.4 Allowing anyone not named on the agreement to drive ends all insurance cover immediately and makes you responsible for the full value of any loss or damage.
4.1 A security deposit of USD $200 is required.
4.2 It may be paid by major credit card or in cash.
4.3 It is released or returned after the vehicle is returned and inspected.
4.4 We may deduct from it any amount you owe under these Terms — damage not covered by insurance, missing fuel, cleaning, traffic fines, late return, loss of use, or claim handling.
4.5 Where what you owe exceeds the deposit, you remain responsible for the balance.
5.1 All charges are in United States dollars.
5.2 We accept cash and major credit cards. Payment by approved bank transfer or supported cryptocurrency can be arranged in advance.
5.3 Foreign cards may incur a conversion fee from your own bank. That fee is not ours and we cannot refund it.
5.4 Rental charges and the deposit are payable at delivery.
5.5 Amounts unpaid when due carry interest of 1% per month.
5.6 Where we have to take steps to recover what you owe, you are responsible for the reasonable costs of doing so.
6.1 Cancel more than 48 hours before pickup: free.
6.2 Cancel within 48 hours: an administrative fee of USD $25 may apply.
6.3 Changes to a confirmed reservation are subject to availability.
6.4 If you do not collect the vehicle at the agreed time and do not contact us, we may release the reservation after two (2) hours and treat it as a late cancellation.
7.1 We deliver anywhere on Aruba at no charge — airport, hotel, villa, or agreed location.
7.2 You must be present at the agreed place and time with all required documents.
7.3 At delivery we record together the vehicle’s condition, fuel level, and mileage. Raise any discrepancy then, not later.
7.4 Return the vehicle at the agreed date, time, and place, in the same condition and with the same fuel level, ordinary wear excepted.
7.5 If you return the vehicle outside our operating hours, you remain responsible for it until we inspect it when we next open.
7.6 You are responsible for returning the vehicle complete — keys, documents, spare tyre, tools, child seats, and any other equipment supplied. Missing items are charged at replacement cost.
8.1 All rentals include unlimited mileage.
8.2 You must drive in accordance with Aruban traffic law. In Aruba, we drive on the right.
8.3 The vehicle may not be used:
8.4 Unpaved roads and Arikok
Four-wheel drive is recommended for exploring Arikok National Park. The route to the Natural Pool (Conchi) requires four-wheel drive and is not accessible by conventional car.
Damage from driving a vehicle on terrain it is not suited to is your full responsibility and is not covered by any insurance or waiver.
8.5 You are responsible for the vehicle throughout the rental, including while parked. Lock it and keep the keys secure when it is unattended.
8.6 You must check and maintain fluid levels and tyre pressure during longer rentals, and stop driving if a warning light appears.
8.7 No repairs, servicing, or replacement of parts without our prior written approval.
9.1 Smoking is not permitted in any Atlantic vehicle. A cleaning fee of USD $250 applies where there is evidence of smoking.
9.2 Pets are not permitted without prior arrangement. Where a pet has been carried without arrangement, a cleaning fee of up to USD $100 may apply.
9.3 Vehicles returned needing cleaning beyond normal use — sand, spillage, heavy soiling — may incur a cleaning charge of up to USD $100.
10.1 The vehicle is supplied at a recorded fuel level and must be returned at that level.
10.2 Returned with less fuel: the missing fuel is charged, plus a refuelling service fee of USD $15.
Rates below are current and apply per day of rental.
11.1 Third Party Liability — included, no charge. Covers damage or injury caused to third parties, as required by Aruban law. It does not cover damage to the rental vehicle.

Optional protection is not mandatory. Without it, you are responsible for the full cost of damage to or theft of the vehicle.
11.3 What is not covered
No protection covers:
If you are unsure whether a specific situation is covered, ask us before you book — we would rather have that conversation now than after.
11.4 Where a claim arises, you are responsible for the applicable deductible, for our loss of use of the vehicle while it is off the road (section 12.5), and for our reasonable costs of handling the claim.
11.5 Coverage, deductibles and exclusions are confirmed with your reservation and form part of your rental agreement.
12.1 You are responsible for damage to, loss of, or theft of the vehicle during the rental, except to the extent covered by protection you have taken.
12.2 In an accident you must:
12.3 Failure to obtain a police report where one is required may end insurance cover and leave you fully responsible.
12.4 Report theft or vandalism to us and the police as soon as you discover it.
12.5 Loss of use. Where a vehicle is off the road for repair or replacement because of damage you are responsible for, you are also responsible for our loss of use of that vehicle — calculated as the daily rental rate for the class, for the period the vehicle is unavailable, up to a maximum of 14 days.
12.6 In a breakdown, contact us immediately. Do not arrange repairs yourself without our written approval.
12.7 Where a breakdown is caused by mechanical failure not attributable to you, we will provide a replacement vehicle as soon as reasonably possible, subject to availability.
12.8 Lost keys — including electronic keys, remotes and reprogramming — are charged at USD $150, unless you hold Premium protection.
13.1 You are responsible for all traffic fines, penalties, tolls, and related costs incurred during the rental.
13.2 Where a fine reaches us after the rental has ended, an administrative handling fee of USD $25 applies in addition to the fine.
14.1 Grace period: one (1) hour.
14.2 Beyond that, a full additional rental day is charged for each day or part-day.
14.3 Not returning the vehicle without contacting us may be treated as unauthorised use and reported to the authorities.
We are not responsible for personal property left in or taken from the vehicle, or left at our offices, however that loss occurs. Take your belongings with you.
We may end a rental and recover the vehicle immediately, without refund, where you breach these Terms, gave false information to obtain the vehicle, or are using it in a way that risks damage, injury, or legal liability. Where we have to recover the vehicle, you are responsible for the reasonable cost of doing so.
We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss — missed flights, missed activities, loss of enjoyment, or additional accommodation — arising from vehicle unavailability, breakdown, or delay, except where it results from our negligence and to the extent liability cannot be excluded by law.
Nothing here excludes responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
18.1 These Terms, together with the signed rental agreement, are the whole agreement between us. Anything said or agreed beforehand that is not written into them does not apply.
18.2 Changes must be in writing and signed by us. To extend a rental, contact us before the return date — extensions are subject to availability and written confirmation.
18.3 If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, that does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.
18.4 If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest continues to apply.
Personal information you give us is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the law of Aruba. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent court in Aruba.
